DTC P0115-11: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Short to Ground [03/2023 - ]: Procedure

- READ GTS (CHECK FOR SHORT IN WIRE HARNESS)
*1 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor *2 ECM - Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
- According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Coolant Temperature OK
GTS Display Specified Condition Coolant Temperature -40°C (-40°F) HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - ]

REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR. Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR - ECM)
- Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (for TMMC Made)
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B32-2 or B94-125 (THW) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher Standard Resistance (for TMC Made)
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B32-2 or B50-125 (THW) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher Result
