DTC P0115-15: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Short to Battery or Open [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

- READ VALUE USING GTS (CHECK FOR OPEN IN WIRE HARNESS)
*1 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (for Outlet Side) *2 ECM *a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (for Outlet Side))- - - Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) connector.
- Connect terminals 1 and 2 of the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) connector on the wire harness side.
- According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Coolant Temperature OK
GTS Display Specified Condition Coolant Temperature Higher than 135°C (275°F) HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side).
Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - ]

REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR (FOR OUTLET SIDE). Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR (FOR OUTLET SIDE) - ECM)
- Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
