DTC P0115-11: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Short to Ground [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

- READ VALUE USING GTS (CHECK FOR SHORT IN WIRE HARNESS)
*1 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (for Outlet Side) *2 ECM - Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) connector.
- According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Coolant Temperature OK
GTS Display Specified Condition Coolant Temperature -40°C (-40°F) HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side).
Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - ]

REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR (FOR OUTLET SIDE). Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURESENSOR (FOR OUTLET SIDE) - ECM)
- Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B32-2 or B49-80 (THW) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher Result
Proceed to OK NG
