Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [11/2021 - ]

  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER PLATE (for HEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    for A25A-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    for T24A-FTS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    A25A-FXS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    See step  3

  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    See step  4

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 

    See step  5

  9. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

      *a Fastener - -
      Direction to defeat Remove in this Direction
      1. Fold the rear seatback assembly RH forward.
      2. Disengage the 3 clips.
      3. Disengage the 2 fasteners.
      4. Remove the 2 bolts.
      5. Disengage the 2 guides and shift the rear seatback assembly RH.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      *a Band - -
      1. Remove the nut and disconnect the floor anchor of the rear center seat outer belt assembly.
      2. Remove the floor anchor part of the rear center seat outer belt assembly from the band of the rear seatback assembly RH.
      3. Disconnect the connector and disengage the 2 clamps.
      4. Remove the rear seatback assembly RH.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  10. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

      *a Fastener - -
      Direction to defeat Remove in this Direction
      1. Fold the rear seatback assembly LH forward.
      2. Disengage the 2 clips.
      3. Disengage the 2 fasteners.
      4. Remove the 2 bolts.
      5. Disengage the 2 guides and shift the rear seatback assembly LH.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      6. Disconnect the connector and disengage the 2 clamps.
      7. Remove the rear seatback assembly LH.
  11. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Gasoline Model:

      *a Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Front Side) *b Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Rear Side)
      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2) - -
      1. Lift the front edge of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration and disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly from the rear seat cushion lock hooks.

        Standard Measurement

        Area Measurement Area Measurement
        A 30 mm (1.18 in.) B 60 mm (2.36 in.)
        C 80 mm (3.15 in.) D 20 mm (0.787 in.)
        NOTE:
        • Disengage each hook at the front part of the rear seat cushion frame one area at a time.
        • Be sure to hold the parts of the seat cushion assembly directly next to the rear seat cushion frame hooks when lifting it. Lifting a different part of the cushion may deform the rear seat cushion frame.
      2. Disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      3. Disconnect the 2 connecters.
      4. Remove the rear seatback assembly RH.
    2. for HEV Model:

      *a Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Front Side) *b Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Rear Side)
      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2) - -
      1. Lift the front edge of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration and disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly from the rear seat cushion lock hooks.

        Standard Measurement

        Area Measurement Area Measurement
        A 30 mm (1.18 in.) B 60 mm (2.36 in.)
        C 80 mm (3.15 in.) D 150 mm (5.91 in.)
        NOTE:
        • Disengage each hook at the front part of the rear seat cushion frame one area at a time.
        • Be sure to hold the parts of the seat cushion assembly directly next to the rear seat cushion frame hooks when lifting it. Lifting a different part of the cushion may deform the rear seat cushion frame.
      2. Disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      3. Disconnect the 2 connecters.
      4. Remove the rear seatback assembly RH.
  12. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    See step  9

  13. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX (w/o Spare Tire) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  14. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD REAR RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  15. REMOVE JUNCTION BLOCK SERVICE COVER (for HEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  16. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD REAR LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  17. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  18. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  19. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  20. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD (for HEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  22. REMOVE NO. 2 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD (for HEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  23. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  24. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  25. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  26. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE TRIM BASE COVER LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  27. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE TRIM BASE COVER RH (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  28. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37

  29. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  30. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39
  31. REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  32. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41
  33. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42
  34. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side)

  35. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side)
