DTC P1235-13: High Pressure Fuel Pump Circuit Open [11/2021 - 03/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUEL (ENGINE ROOM SIDE) PUMP ASSEMBLY (FOR HIGH PRESSURE SIDE) 

    Refer to INSPECTION [11/2021 - ]

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the fuel (engine room side) pump assembly (for high pressure side).

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - ]

    Result

    Proceed to

    NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FUEL (ENGINE ROOM SIDE) PUMP ASSEMBLY (FOR HIGH PRESSURE SIDE). Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL (ENGINE ROOM SIDE) PUMP ASSEMBLY (FOR HIGH PRESSURE SIDE) - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the fuel (engine room side) pump assembly (for high pressure side) connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B21-1 (FP+) - B48-19 (FP1+) Always Below 1 Ω
      B21-2 (FP-) - B48-18 (FP1-) Always Below 1 Ω
      B21-1 (FP+) or B48-19 (FP1+) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B21-2 (FP-) or B48-18 (FP1-) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
