Installation [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LEAK DETECTION PUMP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Only perform this procedure when replacement of the leak detection pump sub-assembly is necessary.

      1. Engage the 2 claws to install a new leak detection pump sub-assembly to the canister (charcoal canister assembly).
        NOTE:
        • Do not allow foreign matter such as grease, oil or water to adhere to the O-ring.
        • Ensure that the claws are engaged properly.
  2. INSTALL NO. 2 CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY 

    Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL NO. 7 FUEL TANK BREATHER TUBE 
    NOTE:
    • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (canister (charcoal canister assembly)) before performing this work.
    • After connecting the vent line hose, check that the vent line hose is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.
    1. Push in the No. 7 fuel tank breather tube to the pipe (No. 2 charcoal canister assembly) until the No. 7 fuel tank breather tube makes a "click" sound.
  4. CONNECT CHARCOAL CANISTER OUTLET GUIDE 
  5. INSTALL CANISTER (CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY)

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  6. CONNECT FUEL EMISSION HOSE 
  7. CONNECT FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (NO. 2 CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY) 
    NOTE:
    • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (canister (charcoal canister assembly)) before performing this work.
    • After connecting the vent line hose, check that the vent line hose is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.

      *a Retainer - -
      Push in Push
      1. Push the vent line hose onto the canister (charcoal canister assembly) and push in the retainer to engage the lock claws.
  8. CONNECT FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:
    • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (canister (charcoal canister assembly)) before performing this work.
    • After connecting the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly, check that the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.
    1. Push the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly onto the canister (charcoal canister assembly) and push in the retainer to engage the lock claws.
  9. INSTALL NO. 2 FLOOR UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  10. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  11. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 82 [11/2021 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 83 [03/2023 - ]

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 83 [11/2021 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 84 [03/2023 - ]

  13. INSTALL FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 85 [11/2021 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 86 [03/2023 - ]

  14. INSTALL FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 84 [11/2021 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 85 [03/2023 - ]
