Pattern Select Switch Sport Mode Circuit [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (CAN BUS CHECK)

    All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed. A
    None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed. B

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK)

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (SPORT MODE SWITCH, NORMAL MODE SWITCH) 
    1. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Data List 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition
      Sport Mode Switch SPORT mode switch condition ON or OFF Drive mode select switch being turned and held:
      ON
      Drive mode select switch not turned:
      OFF
      Normal Mode Switch NORMAL mode switch condition ON or OFF Drive mode select switch being pushed and held:
      ON
      Drive mode select switch not operated:
      OFF

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Data List 

      Tester Display
      Sport Mode Switch
      Normal Mode Switch

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      The tester display changes according to the drive mode select switch operation. A
      The tester display does not change according to the drive mode select switch operation. B
    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  4. INSPECT DRIVE MODE SELECT SWITCH (SPORT MODE, NORMAL MODE) 

    Refer to INSPECTION [11/2021 - ]

    REPLACE DRIVE MODE SELECT SWITCH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVE MODE SELECT SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the drive mode select switch connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D33-6 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the drive mode select switch connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - DRIVE MODE SELECT SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the drive mode select switch connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D67-37 (SPRT) - D33-3 (SPSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      D67-37 (SPRT) or D33-3 (SPSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D67-38 (NORM) - D33-2 (NORM) Always Below 1 Ω
      D67-38 (NORM) or D33-2 (NORM) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Reconnect the drive mode select switch connector.
    5. Reconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connectors.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
