Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [03/2024 - ]

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [03/2024 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [11/2021 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [03/2023 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [03/2024 - ]

  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [03/2024 - ]

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 7 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 7 water by-pass hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
        NOTE:
        • Do not apply force to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly when disconnecting the No. 7 water by-pass hose.
        • Do not damage the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

        HINT: 

        When disconnecting the No. 7 water by-pass hose, slide the clip, rotate the hose and pull it straight off the pipe.

  8. REMOVE WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
      2. Remove the gasket from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
