Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN COOLANT (for Inter cooler) 

    Refer to REPLACEMENT [11/2021 - ]

  2. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER PANEL CUSHION LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER PANEL CUSHION RH 
    1. Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.
  5. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL RH 
    1. Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.
  7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  8. REMOVE COWL VENTILATOR SPLASH SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [03/2024 - ]

  9. REMOVE COWL VENTILATOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [03/2024 - ]

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [11/2021 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [03/2023 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [03/2024 - ]
  11. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  4

  12. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

  18. REMOVE COMPRESSOR INLET ELBOW SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Remove the throttle body gasket from the compressor inlet elbow sub-assembly.
  19. REMOVE DASH PANEL HEAT INSULATOR

  20. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 1) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2021 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [03/2023 - ]

  25. SEPARATE CONVERTER WITH CATALYST ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    If a stud bolt is deformed or its threads are damaged, replace it.

      1. Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolts from the manifold stay.
  26. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE CLAMP

  27. REMOVE TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    If a stud bolt is deformed or its threads are damaged, replace it.

      1. Remove the two nuts from the bottom of the vehicle and disconnect the No. 1 turbo oil pipe from the turbocharger sub-assembly.
      2. Rotate the converter with catalyst assembly outwards around the stud bolts to secure removal space.
      3. Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolts from the cylinder head.
