Inspection [03/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (VSC OFF Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D161-4 (+) - D161-7 (E) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω
      D161-4 (+) - D161-7 (E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
  2. INSPECT BRAKE HOLD SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Brake Hold Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D161-3 (+B) - D161-7 (E) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω
      D161-3 (+B) - D161-7 (E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
  3. INSPECT SECOND POWER SUPPLY REMOTE PARKING CIRCUIT 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Second Power Supply Remote Parking Circuit)

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G132-3 (B1E2) - G132-10 (GND) Auxiliary battery voltage (12 V or more) applied between terminals G132-5 (B1A2) and G132-10 (GND) 11.0 V or more
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (Second Power Supply Remote Parking Circuit)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G133-2 (B1A1) - G134-2 (BOA) Auxiliary battery voltage (12 V or more) applied between terminals G133-2 (B1A1) and G132-10 (GND) Below 1 Ω
      G132-1 (B1E1) - G132-10 (GND) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G132-3 (B1E2) - G132-10 (GND) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G132-8 (BOE) - G132-10 (GND) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G133-2 (B1A1) - G132-10 (GND) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G134-2 (BOA) - G132-10 (GND) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G132-5 (B1A2) - G132-10 (GND) Always 2 kΩ or higher
    3. Set the Toyota Electrical Tester to diode check mode.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      G132-1 (B1E1) (+) - G132-8 (BOE) (-) Always 0.1 to 1.1 V
      G132-5 (B1A2) (+) - G134-2 (BOA) (-) Always 0.1 to 1.15 V
      G132-3 (B1E2) (+) - G132-8 (BOE) (-) Always 0.1 to 1.1 V
      NOTE:

      Make sure to check the polarity of each terminal (positive (+) or negative (-)) before connecting a tester.
