AWD Warning Remains ON [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

1. Using the GTS, check for Vehicle Control History.

   Refer to VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (RoB) [09/2023 - ] 

   Chassis > Four Wheel Drive > Utility 

   Tester Display
   Vehicle Control History (RoB)

   HINT: 

   If vehicle control history is stored when the dynamic torque control AWD system are suspended, the warning message is displayed.

PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING AND REPAIR REGARDING VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY

1. Check that there is no looseness at the locking and connecting parts of the 4WD ECU assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the J6 and J7 4WD ECU assembly connectors.
3. Check the connector case and the terminal for deformation and corrosion.

   OK

   No deformation or corrosion

4. Connect the J6 and J7 4WD ECU assembly connectors.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

CONNECT CONNECTOR TO ECU CORRECTLY 

Result: 

OK

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Disconnect the J6 4WD ECU assembly connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   J6-24 (IG1) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V

   Result

   NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Disconnect the J6 4WD ECU assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Result

   NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
