- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AC CHARGER INLET CABLE - ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER ASSEMBLY) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
Pre-procedure1
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch to ON (READY), unless instructed by the service information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Disconnect the In1 AC charger inlet cable connector.NOTE:
If the In1 connector is disconnected with the auxiliary battery connected, P0D56-15 may be detected. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal before proceeding work.
- Disconnect the J84 electric vehicle charger assembly connector.
Procedure1
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition In1-3 (TIL1) - J84-50 (TIL1) Ignition switch off Below 1 Ω In1-4 (GTI1) - J84-49 (GTI1) Ignition switch off Below 1 Ω In1-8 (TIL2) - J84-48 (TIL2) Ignition switch off Below 1 Ω In1-7 (GTI2) - J84-47 (GTI2) Ignition switch off Below 1 Ω Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition In1-3 (TIL1) or J84-50 (TIL1) - Body ground and other terminals Ignition switch off 10 kΩ or higher In1-4 (GTI1) or J84-49 (GTI1) - Body ground and other terminals Ignition switch off 10 kΩ or higher In1-8 (TIL2) or J84-48 (TIL2) - Body ground and other terminals Ignition switch off 10 kΩ or higher In1-7 (GTI2) or J84-47 (GTI2) - Body ground and other terminals Ignition switch off 10 kΩ or higher Result
