This DTC indicates a short in the EOP coil temperature sensor circuit. The EOP coil temperature sensor converts the EOP coil temperature into an electrical resistance value. Based on the resistance, the TCM determines the EOP coil temperature, and can detect a short in the EOP coil temperature sensor circuit.
If the EOP coil temperature sensor output value is higher than 200°C (392°F), the TCM interprets this as a malfunction of the EOP coil temperature sensor or in the wire harness, illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.
