DTC P0ABF-2A: Hybrid/EV Battery Current Sensor "A" Signal Stuck In Range [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • None.
    • Check and record any HV system DTCs and Freeze Frame Data.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      "Only DTC P0ABF-2A is output" or "DTC P0ABF-2A and DTCs other than those in the following table are output". A
      DTC P0ABF-2A and any of the DTCs in the following table are output at the same time. B

      P0B3B-14, P0B40-14, P0B45-14, P0B4A-14, P0B4F-14, P0B54-14, P0B59-14, P0B5E-14, P0B63-14, P0B68-14, P0B6D-14 Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage Sensor "A - K" Circuit Short to Ground or Open

    Post-procedure1

    • Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2023 - ]

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (HYBRID/EV BATTERY BLOCK VOLTAGE) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      NOTE:

      Do not turn the ignition switch to ON (READY).

    • Check the voltage of each HV battery block voltage of "Hybrid/EV Battery Block 1 to 10 Voltage" in the Data List with the ignition switch ON.
      NOTE:

      Select "Hybrid/EV Battery Block 1 to 10 Voltage" only. (Do not select any other Data List items.)

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Data List

      Hybrid/EV Battery Block 2 Voltage
      Hybrid/EV Battery Block 3 Voltage
      Hybrid/EV Battery Block 4 Voltage
      Hybrid/EV Battery Block 5 Voltage
      Hybrid/EV Battery Block 6 Voltage
      Hybrid/EV Battery Block 7 Voltage
      Hybrid/EV Battery Block 8 Voltage
      Hybrid/EV Battery Block 9 Voltage
      Hybrid/EV Battery Block 10 Voltage

      Specified Condition

      Any "Hybrid/EV Battery Block Voltage" changes by 0.3 V or more, 60 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON. (The difference between the maximum and minimum voltage is 0.3 V or more.)

      The change in voltage of any "Hybrid/EV Battery Block Voltage" is 0.3 V or more. A
      Other than above B

    Post-procedure1

    • Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    REPLACE BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY DEVICE BOX. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]
