WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 Lexus TX 500h. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly sends a block signal to the rear motor generator control ECU (MGR ECU) to shutdown the power supply to the rear motor. When the system is not in the on (READY) state, it sends an HSD2 (MGR shutdown signal) signal from the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly to the rear motor generator control ECU (MGR ECU) to check the function of the HV gate block. When a malfunction is detected in the HV gate block function, DTCs are stored.
