DTC P0C30-00: Hybrid/EV Battery State of Charge High [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • None.
    • Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Only P0C30-00 is output A
      P0C30-00 and other DTCs are output B

    Post-procedure1

    • Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2023 - ]

  2. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR (IGCT VOLTAGE) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR - NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY DEVICE BOX) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    REPLACE HV BATTERY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

  4. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR (VIB VOLTAGE) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR (GIB - GND)

    REPLACE NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY DEVICE BOX. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

  6. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (HYBRID/EV BATTERY CURRENT) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      NOTE:

      During the inspection, make sure to only turn the ignition switch to ON. Do not turn the ignition switch to ON (READY).

    • With the ignition switch ON, monitor Data List item "Hybrid/EV Battery Current" and "Hybrid/EV Battery Current for Hybrid/EV Battery Control" for 1 minute.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Data List 

      Tester Display
      Hybrid/EV Battery Current
      Hybrid/EV Battery Current for Hybrid/EV Battery Control

      Result

      Result  Proceed to
      The value of Data List item "Hybrid/EV Battery Current" or "Hybrid/EV Battery Current for Hybrid/EV Battery Control" is -0.5 A or less or 0.5 A or more. A
      Other than above B

    Post-procedure1

    • Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    REPLACE BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2023 - 12/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2023 - ] 

  7. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR (VIB VOLTAGE) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

    Result

    REPLACE NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY DEVICE BOX. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]
