Installation [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

   	Bolt		Gasket and Oil Seal Ring
   	Gasket	-	-

   1. Coat 5 new gaskets and 2 new oil seal rings with Toyota Genuine ATF WS and install them to the automatic transaxle case sub-assembly.
   2. Install the transmission valve body assembly to the automatic transaxle case sub-assembly with the 10 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Take care that the transmission wire does not become trapped.

   1. Engage the 2 clamps.
   2. Connect the temperature sensor connector.
   3. Connect the 14 solenoid valve connectors.

   1. Install a new transaxle case gasket to the automatic transmission case cover.
   2. Temporarily install the automatic transmission case cover to the automatic transaxle case sub-assembly with the 10 bolts.
   3. Tighten the 10 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 6.8 N.m (69 kgf/cm, 60 in.lbf)

   Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

   -

   -

   1. Coat 2 new O-rings with Toyota Genuine ATF WS and install them to the No. 1 transmission oil cooler bracket.
   2. Coat 2 new O-rings with Toyota Genuine ATF WS, and using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 2 plugs and 2 O-rings to the No. 1 transmission oil cooler bracket.

      Torque: 39.2 N.m (400 kgf/cm, 29 ft.lbf) 

   3. Install the No. 1 transmission oil cooler bracket to the transaxle assembly with motor and inverter with the 3 bolts (A).

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

   4. Using a 12 mm union nut wrench, install the bolt (B).

      Specified Tightening Torque 

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

      HINT: 

      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a 12 mm union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 20 mm (0.787 in.)) + torque wrench 162 mm (6.38 in.)):

        18.7 N.m (191 kgf/cm, 14 ft.lbf)
