Inspection [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT SOLENOID (SL1) VALVE 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      1 - 2 20 °C (68 °F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω Ω

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Solenoid (SL1) Valve)
    2. Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery with a 21 W bulb to terminal 1 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2 of the solenoid (SL1) valve connector, and check that the solenoid (SL1) valve moves and makes an operating sound.
      NOTE:

      When using auxiliary battery voltage during the inspection, do not bring the positive (+) and negative (-) tester probes too close to each other as a short circuit may occur.

      OK

      The solenoid (SL1) valve moves and makes an operating sound.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the solenoid (SL1) valve.

  2. INSPECT SOLENOID (SL2) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SL1) valve.

  3. INSPECT SOLENOID (SL3) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SL1) valve.

  4. INSPECT SOLENOID (SL5) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SL1) valve.

  5. INSPECT SOLENOID (SL6) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SL1) valve.

  6. INSPECT SOLENOID (SL7) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SL1) valve.

  7. INSPECT SOLENOID (SL8) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SL1) valve.

  8. INSPECT SOLENOID (SLT) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SL1) valve.

  9. INSPECT SOLENOID (SR) VALVE 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      Solenoid (SR) valve connector terminal - Solenoid (SR) valve body 20 °C (68 °F) 11 to 15 Ω Ω

      (Solenoid (SR) Valve)
    2. Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to the terminal of the solenoid (SR) valve connector and a negative (-) lead to the solenoid (SR) valve body, and check that the solenoid (SR) valve moves and makes an operating sound.
      NOTE:

      When using auxiliary battery voltage during the inspection, do not bring the positive (+) and negative (-) tester probes too close to each other as a short circuit may occur.

      OK

      The solenoid (SR) valve moves and makes an operating sound.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the solenoid (SR) valve.

  10. INSPECT SOLENOID (SRL1) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SR) valve.

  11. INSPECT SOLENOID (SC2) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SR) valve.

  12. INSPECT SOLENOID (SC4) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SR) valve.

  13. INSPECT SOLENOID (SC6) VALVE 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the solenoid (SR) valve.
