Installation [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *a Non-threaded Part *b Threaded Part
      1. Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly clockwise until it cannot be turned easily.
        NOTE:

        The shift lever knob sub-assembly will become difficult to turn when the transmission floor shift assembly contacts the non-threaded part of the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

      2. Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly clockwise an additional 360° or more to install it as shown in the illustration.
      3. Tighten the shift lever knob sub-assembly until it is aligned with the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to only turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly clockwise when adjusting the installation position.
        • After installing the shift lever knob sub-assembly, move the shift lever to each shift position and confirm that the shift lever knob sub-assembly does not contact the position indicator housing.
