Installation [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL BATTERY ECU ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

    NOTE:

    If the battery ECU assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL NO. 3 TRACTION BATTERY WIRE COVER 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

      Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf)

      1. Insert the wire harness in the direction shown in the illustration.
      2. Engage the 4 clamps.
      3. Connect the 4 connectors.
        NOTE:

        Make sure that the connectors are connected securely.

      1. Insert the wire harness in the direction shown in the illustration.
      2. Engage the 3 clamps.
      3. Connect the 4 connectors.
        NOTE:

        Make sure that the connectors are connected securely.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY HEATER RELAY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  4. READ VALUE USING GTS 
    NOTE:

    If the battery ECU assembly and connector were removed/installed, check the value of "Hybrid/EV Battery Cooling Refrigerant Temperature" on the Data List.
    1. Connect the SST to the HV supply battery assembly and vehicle.

      Refer to Instructions for Connecting SST [12/2023 - ]

      • SST: 09893-42030 
    2. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / HV supply battery assembly / Data List / Hybrid/EV Battery Refrigerant Temperature.

      Powertrain > HV Battery > Data List 

      Tester Display
      Hybrid/EV Battery Refrigerant Temperature (Duct Inlet 1)
      Hybrid/EV Battery Refrigerant Temperature (Duct Outlet 1)
      Hybrid/EV Battery Refrigerant Temperature (Duct Inlet 2)
      Hybrid/EV Battery Refrigerant Temperature (Duct Outlet 2)
    3. Read the Data List.
      NOTE:

      Check the Data List. If a value of -50°C is indicated for "Hybrid/EV Battery Cooling Refrigerant Temperature", check the connection status of the battery ECU assembly connector.

    4. Remove the SST to the HV supply battery assembly and vehicle.
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY COVER

  6. CHECK FOR AIRTIGHTNESS (COMPONENT) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. INSTALL HV SUPPLY BATTERY ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]

  8. CURRENT SENSOR OFFSET LEARNING 
    HINT: 
    Perform this procedure when the No. 2 traction battery device box assembly or battery ECU assembly has been replaced.
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
  9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [12/2023 - ]
