Installation [09/2023 - 12/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR TRANSAXLE MOTOR COOLING COOLER

      1. Coat 2 new O-rings with Toyota Genuine e-Transaxle Fluid TE and install them to the rear transaxle motor cooling cooler.
        NOTE:

        Ensure that the O-ring is not twisted.

      2. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, install the rear transaxle motor cooling cooler to the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly with the 3 bolts.

        Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the O-ring.

  2. CONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE ASSEMBLY

      *a 2 to 7 mm (0.0787 to 0.276 in.) *b Paint Mark
      *c 120° (Claw of Clip Location) - -
      1. Connect the No. 1 inverter cooling hose assembly to the rear transaxle motor cooling cooler and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 1 inverter cooling hose assembly until it contacts the hose stopper of the rear transaxle motor cooling cooler.
        • Make sure to align the paint mark of the No. 1 inverter cooling hose assembly with the paint mark of the rear transaxle motor cooling cooler.
        • Make sure that the claws of the clip are within the location shown in the illustration.
      2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 1 inverter cooling hose assembly.
  3. CONNECT NO. 1 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE ASSEMBLY

      *a 2 to 7 mm (0.0787 to 0.276 in.) *b Paint Mark
      *c 120° (Claw of Clip Location) - -
      1. Connect the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly to the rear transaxle motor cooling cooler and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly until it contacts the hose stopper of the rear transaxle motor cooling cooler.
        • Make sure to align the paint mark of the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly with the paint mark of the rear transaxle motor cooling cooler.
        • Make sure that the claws of the clip are within the location shown in the illustration.
      2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly.
  4. INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2023 - 12/2023]

  5. ADD COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 82

  8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 
  9. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
