Inspection [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the "TRAIL" mode switch:
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly)

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
        6 (B) - 7 (E) Pressed Below 40 Ω Ω
        6 (B) - 7 (E) Not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the electric parking brake switch assembly.

  2. INSPECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY (ILLUMINATION) 
    1. Inspect the illumination:
      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly) and check that the switch illuminates.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly)

        OK

        Condition Specified Condition
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 11 (ILL+)
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 15 (ILL-)
        Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the electric parking brake switch assembly.
