Confirmation Driving Pattern

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 Lexus TX 550h+. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

HINT:

  1. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
  2. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.
  3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / HV Battery / Active Test / Hybrid/EV Battery Refrigerant Cooling Control.
  4. Perform the "Hybrid/EV Battery Refrigerant Cooling Control" Active Test for 20 minutes.[*1]

    HINT:

    • In order to perform "Hybrid/EV Battery Refrigerant Cooling Control", the HV battery minimum temperature must be 20°C (68°F) and the refrigerant temperature must be 20°C (68°F) or higher.

If the above conditions are not established, perform the "Hybrid/EV Battery Heater Relay" Active Test in an environment with an ambient temperature of 5°C (41°F) or higher and increase the HV battery temperature.

The temperature will drop after the heater is stopped, so increase the values of "Hybrid/EV Battery Temperature 1 to 20, Hybrid/EV Battery Refrigerant Temperature (Duct Outlet 1), Hybrid/EV Battery Refrigerant Temperature (Duct Outlet 2)" in the Data List to 21°C (70°F) or higher.

(At an ambient temperature of 5°C (41°F), "Hybrid/EV Battery Heater Relay" will need to be performed for approximately 10 hours.)

    • Perform this step with the A/C blower switch off.
    • [*1]: Normal judgment procedure.

The normal judgment procedure is used to complete DTC judgment and also used when clearing permanent DTCs.

  5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / HV Battery / Utility / All Readiness.
  6. Check the DTC judgment result.

    HINT:

    • If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
    • If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
    • If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE or N/A, perform the normal judgment procedure again.
