Inspection [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT PURGE VALVE (NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      1 (+B) - 2 (PRG) 20°C (68°F) 23 to 26 Ω Ω
      1. If the result is not as specified, replace the purge valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly).
    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage between the terminals of the purge valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly) and check that the following occurs when blowing air into the port (E).

      *a Port (E)
      *b Port (F)
      *c Air
      *d Component without harness connected
      (Purge Valve (No. 1 Vacuum Switching Valve Assembly))

      Standard

      Condition Specified Condition
      Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 1 (+B) and 2 (PRG) Air flows from port (F)
      Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 (+B) and 2 (PRG) Air does not flow from port (F)
      1. If the result is not as specified, replace the purge valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly).
