Installation [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LEAK DETECTION PUMP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the leak detection pump sub-assembly is necessary.

      1. Engage the 2 claws to install a new leak detection pump sub-assembly to the canister (charcoal canister assembly).
        NOTE:
        • Do not allow foreign matter such as grease, oil or water to adhere to the O-ring.
        • Ensure that the claws are engaged properly.
  2. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER OUTLET GUIDE 
  3. INSTALL CANISTER (CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY) 

    Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

  4. CONNECT FUEL EMISSION HOSE 
    NOTE:
    • Connect the fuel emission hose and canister (charcoal canister assembly) at the position shown in the illustration.
    • Check that the paint mark on the fuel emission hose comes to the position on the canister (charcoal canister assembly) rib.

      *c 0 to 3.0 mm (0 to 0.118 in.) *d 15°
      1. Connect the fuel emission hose to the canister (charcoal canister assembly) as shown in the illustration.
  5. CONNECT NO. 2 FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:
    • The No. 2 fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly seals the No. 2 fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly and canister (charcoal canister assembly) through the O-ring. Therefore, be careful not to damage the connecting part or allow foreign matter to adhere.
    • After connecting the No. 2 fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly, pull on the No. 2 fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly to make sure that it is securely connected.

      1. Connect the No. 2 fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly and canister (charcoal canister assembly) with their axes aligned, and then push the retainer in.
  6. CONNECT NO. 7 FUEL TANK BREATHER TUBE

      1. Connect the No. 7 fuel tank breather tube and canister (charcoal canister assembly) with their axes aligned, and then push the retainer in.
        NOTE:
        • The No. 7 fuel tank breather tube seals the No. 7 fuel tank breather tube and canister (charcoal canister assembly) through the O-ring. Therefore, be careful not to damage the connecting part or allow foreign matter to adhere.
        • After connecting the No. 7 fuel tank breather tube, pull on the No. 7 fuel tank breather tube to make sure that it is securely connected.
      2. Engage the clamp.
