DTC P106A-62: Evaporative Emission System Pressure / Intake Air Pressure Signal Compare Failure; DTC P106C-62: Evaporative Emission System Pressure/Barometric Pressure Signal Compare Failure [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO P106A-62 AND/OR P106C-62) 
    1. Read the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P106A-62 or P106C-62 and other DTCs are output A
      P106A-62 and P106C-62 are output B
      P106A-62 is output C
      P106C-62 is output D

      HINT: 

      If any DTCs other than P106A-62 and/or P106C-62 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

    Result:

  2. REPLACE CANISTER PUMP MODULE

  3. REPLACE MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR

  4. REPLACE ECM (ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE SENSOR)

  5. CLEAR DTC 

    Pre-procedure1

    • None.
    • Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs

    • Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

  6. CONFIRM WHETHER MALFUNCTION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY REPAIRED 
    1. Confirm that the difference between Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure and Vapor Pressure Pump is 8.69 kPa (1.26 psi) or less.

      Tester Display
      Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure
      Vapor Pressure Pump
    2. Confirm that the difference between Atmospheric Pressure and Vapor Pressure Pump is 7.89 kPa (1.14 psi) or less.
