On-Vehicle Inspection [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

- INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR BOLT (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2)
Pre-procedure1
- Remove the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2).
HINT:
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]
- Press the plunger and check the stroke.
*a Plunger Standard Stroke
Specified Condition Result 2.2 mm or higher
0.0866 in. or highermm
in.HINT:
When pressing the plunger, there may be a stepped feeling. This is not a malfunction.
If the result is not as specified, replace the camshaft timing gear bolt.
Post-procedure1
- Install the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2).
HINT:
Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]
- Remove the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2).
- INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR BOLT (for Intake Side of Bank 2)

- Press the plunger and check the stroke.
