- ASK ABOUT VEHICLE CONDITION
- Check if a buzzer sounded and a message was displayed on the multi-information display when attempting to enter EV mode.

If a buzzer sounds or a message is displayed on the multi-information display, one or more of the EV mode entry conditions have not been met. Check that all of the EV mode entry conditions have been met before pressing the EV/HV AUTO mode switch.

- Disconnect the EV/HV AUTO mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D22-7 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Reconnect the EV/HV AUTO mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) connector.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - EV/HV AUTO MODE SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY))
- Disconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
- Disconnect the EV/HV AUTO mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D117-42 (EVMS) - D22-13 (B) Always Below 1 Ω D117-42 (EVMS) or D22-13 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Reconnect the the EV/HV AUTO mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) connector.
- Reconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
