Inspection [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 2 TRACTION BATTERY DEVICE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect SMRB:
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (No. 2 Traction Battery Device Box Assembly)        		 - -

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 (+) - 1 (CBI) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 3(SMRB) and 2(GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 3(SMRB) and 2(GND) Below 1 Ω
        1(+) - 2(CBI2) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 3(SMRB) and 2(GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 3(SMRB) and 2(GND) Below 1 Ω
      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 (SMRB) - 2 (GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 18.2 to 36.0 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 traction battery device box assembly.

    2. Inspect SMRG:
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        (No. 2 Traction Battery Device Box Assembly)        		 - -

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1(-) - 2(CEI) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 1(SMRG) and 5(GND8) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 1(SMRG) and 5(GND8) Below 1 Ω
        1(-) - 1(CEI2) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 1(SMRG) and 5(GND8) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 1(SMRG) and 5(GND8) Below 1 Ω
      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1(SMRG) - 5(GND8) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 18.2 to 36.0 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 traction battery device box assembly.

    3. Inspect SMRP:
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 (-) - 2 (CEI) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 4 (SMRP) and 5 (GND8) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 4 (SMRP) and 5 (GND8) 28.5 to 31.5 Ω
        1(-) - 1(CEI2) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 4 (SMRP) and 5 (GND8) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 4 (SMRP) and 5 (GND8) Below 1 Ω
      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        4 (SMRP) - 5 (GND8) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 140 to 290 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 traction battery device box assembly.

    4. Inspect CHRB:
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (No. 2 Traction Battery Device Box Assembly)        		 - -

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1(+) - 1(DCHB) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 1(CHRB) and 2(GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 1(CHRB) and 2(GND) Below 1 Ω
      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1(CHRB) - 2(GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 20.6 to 40.8 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 traction battery device box assembly.

    5. Inspect CHRG:
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1(-) - 1(DCHG) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 3(CHRG) and 5(GND8) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 3(CHRG) and 5(GND8) Below 1 Ω
      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3(CHRG) - 5(GND8) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 20.6 to 40.8 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 traction battery device box assembly.

    6. Inspect CHRP:
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1(-) - 1(DCHG) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 2(CHRP) and 5(GND8) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 2(CHRP) and 5(GND8) Below 1 Ω
      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2(CHRP) - 5(GND8) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 28.5 to 31.5 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 traction battery device box assembly.
