Installation [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 3 HIGH VOLTAGE FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    NOTE:
    • An interlock connector is installed to the No. 3 high voltage floor under wire. Make sure to install the upper inverter cover sub-assembly after installing the No. 3 high voltage floor under wire.
    • Visually confirm that the No. 3 high voltage floor under wire waterproofing rubber is securely installed before installing the No. 3 high voltage floor under wire.
    • Make sure that the interlock connector is fully engaged.
    • Installing the No. 3 high voltage floor under wire in the incorrect order will cause the parts to break.

      *a Waterproof Seal - -
      1. Connect the No. 3 high voltage floor under wire with the 2 bolts.

        Bolt A 

        Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

        Bolt B 

        Torque: 9.5 N.m (97 kgf/cm, 84 in.lbf) 

      2. Connect the No. 3 high voltage floor under wire to the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly with 2 bolts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:
        • Push in the HV battery charger wire so that the waterproof seal cannot be seen.
        • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
        • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly when connecting the connector.
      3. Temporarily install the 2 bolts.
        NOTE:
        • To prevent the threads from being damaged, temporarily tighten the 2 bolts by hand.
        • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
        • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly when connecting the connector.
      4. Using an insulated tool, fully tighten the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:
        • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
        • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly when connecting the connector.
        • Be sure to use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts.
  2. INSTALL UPPER INVERTER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    NOTE:
    • Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly.
    • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
    • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly when connecting the connector.

    Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the wire harness clamp bracket is necessary.

    Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  4. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS PROTECTOR COVER 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the wire harness protector cover is necessary.

    Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  5. INSTALL FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

      1. Insert the floor under wire into the floor panel hole and engage the grommet.
      2. Install 6 new stud clamps.
      3. Install the 3 bolts and 13 nuts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

      *a Green-colored Lock - -
      Install in this Direction Slide
      1. Engage the clamp and 2 claws.
      2. Install the 2 nuts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

      3. Connect the engine room main wire connector and slide the green-colored lock as shown in the illustration to lock it securely.
      4. Engage the guide and 2 claws to install the No. 1 terminal cap.

      1. Engage the 3 clamps.
      2. Connect the floor under wire connector and slide the green-colored lock as shown in the illustration to lock it securely.

      Torque: 7.6 N.m (77 kgf/cm, 67 in.lbf) 

  6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf/cm, 43 in.lbf) 

  7. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]

  8. CONNECT FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  9. CONNECT NO. 3 HIGH VOLTAGE FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

      1. Insert the No. 3 high voltage floor under wire into the floor panel hole and engage the grommet.
      2. Install a new stud clamp.
      3. Install the 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

  10. INSTALL JUNCTION BLOCK COVER 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

  11. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER BASE BRACKET 

    Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  12. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY

  13. INSTALL HV SUPPLY BATTERY ASSEMBLY

  14. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  15. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY

  16. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY 
  17. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY RH

  18. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  19. INSTALL FUEL TANK SUB-ASSEMBLY

  20. CONNECT FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

      *a Waterproof Seal - -
      1. Connect the HV floor under wire to the inverter with converter assembly with the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:
        • Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the inverter with converter assembly.
        • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
        • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or inverter with converter assembly when connecting the connector.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

      Slide - -
      1. Connect the connector and slide the green-colored lock as shown in the illustration to lock it securely.
        NOTE:

        Make sure that the connectors are connected securely.

  21. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    NOTE:
    • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connectors.
    • To prevent damage due to static electricity, do not touch the terminals of the disconnected connectors.
    • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or inverter with converter assembly when connecting the connectors.
    • Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the inverter with converter assembly.
  22. INSTALL NO. 2 INVERTER PROTECTOR 
  23. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]

  24. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  25. WARM UP COMPRESSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  26. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  27. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [12/2023 - ]
