Removal [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS

      1. Read the Data List.

        Hybrid/EV Battery Temperature 5

        Hybrid/EV Battery Temperature 10
        Hybrid/EV Battery Temperature 11

        NOTE:

        If any of the temperatures listed in "Hybrid Battery Temperature 1 to 20" are 50°C or more, leave the vehicle until the temperature drops to less than 50°C.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 TRACTION BATTERY DEVICE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 TRACTION BATTERY COOLER TUBE 
    See step  2
  4. REMOVE NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY COOLER TUBE 
    See step  3
  5. REMOVE NO. 14 TRACTION BATTERY BRACKET 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

      1. Disconnect the connector.
        NOTE:

        Insulate each disconnected high-voltage connector with insulating tape. Wrap the connector from the wire harness side to the end of the connector.

      2. Remove the 2 nuts to disconnect the traction battery plug cable.
      3. Remove the 3 nuts and No. 14 traction battery bracket from the No. 2 HV supply stack sub-assembly.
  6. DISCONNECT NO. 5 TRACTION BATTERY CABLE (NO. 2 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

      1. Remove the clip.
      2. Remove the bolt, 4 nuts and No. 1 HV supply stack sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        If the No. 1 traction battery cooler sheet is stuck to the bottom surface of the No. 1 HV supply stack sub-assembly, carefully remove the sheet to prevent damaging the bottom surface of the No. 1 HV supply stack sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE NO. 3 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

      *1 No. 3 HV Supply Stack Sub-assembly *2 No. 19 Traction Battery Bracket
      1. Remove the bolt, 4 nuts, No. 19 traction battery bracket and No. 3 HV supply stack sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        If the No. 1 traction battery cooler sheet is stuck to the bottom surface of the No. 3 HV supply stack sub-assembly, carefully remove the sheet to prevent damaging the bottom surface of the No. 3 HV supply stack sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

      *1 No. 2 HV Supply Stack Sub-assembly *2 No. 16 Traction Battery Bracket
      1. Remove the clip.
      2. Remove the bolt, 4 nuts, No. 16 traction battery bracket and No. 2 HV supply stack sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        If the No. 1 traction battery cooler sheet is stuck to the bottom surface of the No. 2 HV supply stack sub-assembly, carefully remove the sheet to prevent damaging the bottom surface of the No. 2 HV supply stack sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE NO. 4 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

      1. Remove the bolt, 4 nuts and No. 4 HV supply stack sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        If the No. 1 traction battery cooler sheet is stuck to the bottom surface of the No. 4 HV supply stack sub-assembly, carefully remove the sheet to prevent damaging the bottom surface of the No. 4 HV supply stack sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP 
    HINT: 
    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the wire harness clamp is necessary.

  12. REMOVE NO. 21 TRACTION BATTERY BRACKET 

    See step  2

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY COOLER CONDUCTOR 

    See step  3

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY COOLER SHEET 

    See step  4

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY HEATER 

    See step  5

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 TRACTION BATTERY HEATER 

    See step  6

  17. PERFORM RECOVERY INSPECTION 
    1. Before returning the HV supply stack sub-assembly, make sure to perform a recovery inspection.
