Installation [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 2 TRACTION BATTERY HEATER

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY HEATER

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY COOLER SHEET

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY COOLER CONDUCTOR

  5. INSTALL NO. 21 TRACTION BATTERY BRACKET 

    See step  5

  6. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP 
    HINT: 
    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the wire harness clamp is necessary.
  7. INSTALL NO. 4 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

    NOTE:

    Tighten the 4 nuts and bolt in the order of 4 nuts, bolt.

    Bolt 

    Torque: 11 N.m (112 kgf/cm, 8 ft.lbf) 

    Nut 

    Torque: 16 N.m (163 kgf/cm, 12 ft.lbf) 

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

    NOTE:

    Tighten the 4 nuts and bolt in the order of 4 nuts, bolt.

    Bolt 

    Torque: 11 N.m (112 kgf/cm, 8 ft.lbf) 

    Nut 

    Torque: 16 N.m (163 kgf/cm, 12 ft.lbf) 

  9. INSTALL NO. 3 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

      *1 No. 3 HV Supply Stack Sub-assembly *2 No. 19 Traction Battery Bracket
      *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length - -
      1. Temporarily install the No. 3 HV supply stack sub-assembly and No. 19 traction battery bracket to the No. 1 traction battery carrier with the bolt, 4 nuts.
      2. Fully tighten the 3 nuts (A).

        Torque: 16 N.m (163 kgf/cm, 12 ft.lbf) 

      3. Using the 12 mm union nut wrench, tighten the nut (B).

        Specified tightening torque 

        Torque: 16 N.m (163 kgf/cm, 12 ft.lbf) 

        HINT: 

        • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

          Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2023 - ]

        • When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 20 mm (0.787 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.378 in.)): 14.2 N.m (145 kgf/cm, 10 ft.lbf)
      4. Fully tighten the bolt.

        Torque: 11 N.m (112 kgf/cm, 8 ft.lbf) 

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

    NOTE:

    Tighten the 4 nuts and bolt in the order of 4 nuts, bolt.

    Bolt 

    Torque: 11 N.m (112 kgf/cm, 8 ft.lbf) 

    Nut 

    Torque: 16 N.m (163 kgf/cm, 12 ft.lbf) 

  11. CONNECT NO. 5 TRACTION BATTERY CABLE (NO. 2 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

  12. INSTALL NO. 14 TRACTION BATTERY BRACKET 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

    Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 TRACTION BATTERY COOLER TUBE

  14. INSTALL NO. 2 TRACTION BATTERY COOLER TUBE

  15. INSPECT REFRIGERANT LEAK 

    See step  1

  16. INSTALL NO. 2 TRACTION BATTERY DEVICE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    See step  1

  17. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
