Power Steering ECU Communication Stop Mode [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

- CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RACK AND PINION POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY MAIN LINE)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Disconnect the C35 rack and pinion power steering gear assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C35-10 (CANH) - C35-11 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Result

REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (RACK AND PINION POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY)

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C35-7 (PGND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω - Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C35-4 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V C35-8 (PIG) - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V Result
