Operation not Accepted Even If Air Conditioning Switch is Operated [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      U0163-87 is not output A
      U0163-87 is output B

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO DTC U0163-87. Refer to  DTC U0100-87: Lost Communication with ECM/PCM "A" Missing Message; DTC U0111-87: Lost Communication with Hybrid/EV Battery Energy Control Module "A" Missing Message; DTC U0131-87: Lost Communication with Power Steering Control Module Missing Message; DTC U0140-87: Lost Communication with Body Control Module Missing Message; DTC U0155-87: Lost Communication with Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module Missing Message; DTC U0163-87: Lost Communication with Navigation Control Module Missing Message; DTC U0198-87: Lost Communication with Telematic Control Module "A" Missing Message; DTC U0293-87: Lost Communication with Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module Missing Message [12/2023 - ]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - AUXILIARY BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the D34 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly)
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D34-5 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V
      D34-6 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the D34 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

      (to Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D34-17 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
