Installation [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL WATER CONTROL VALVE 

    Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

  2. CONNECT INLET HEATER WATER HOSE 
  3. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY

      *e 2 to 7 mm (0.0787 to 0.276 in.) - -
      1. Connect the water by-pass hose assembly to the water control valve and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the water by-pass hose assembly until it contacts the hose stopper of the water control valve.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  4. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      1. Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the water control valve and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 3 water by-pass hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the water control valve.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  5. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

      *e 2 to 7 mm (0.0787 to 0.276 in.) - -
      1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the water control valve and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 1 radiator hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the water control valve.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  6. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD WITH INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY 

    For 1Motor-HEV Model: Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2023 - ]

    For Gasoline Model: Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2023 - ]

  7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. INSTALL SUSPENSION TOWER DAMPER (w/ Suspension Tower Damper) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2023 - 12/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [12/2023 - ]
  10. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    For 1Motor-HEV Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 82

    For Gasoline Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 91

  11. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 
  12. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH
