Installation [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
  3. INSTALL FILLER NECK

      *a Retainer - -
      Push Push in
      1. Align the filler neck with the radiator assembly, push the filler neck onto the radiator assembly, then push in the retainer to secure the connection.
        NOTE:

        Confirm that the retainer makes a "click" sound when pushed.

      2. Check that the radiator assembly and filler neck are securely connected by pulling on them.
  4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

      1. Engage the 2 guides.
      2. Engage the 2 claws to install the fan with motor assembly to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan with motor assembly.

      1. Engage the 2 guides.
      2. Engage the 2 claws to install the intercooler cooling radiator assembly to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the intercooler cooling radiator assembly.

      1. Install the intercooler cooling radiator assembly and radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly to the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the intercooler cooling radiator assembly and radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly.

      2. Engage the 2 guides.
      3. Engage the 2 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly to the intercooler cooling radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly when installing the intercooler cooling radiator assembly.

      1. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and rotate the lever to lock it.
        NOTE:
        • When connecting the cooling fan motor connector, make sure that the connecting parts of the cooling fan motor connector are free of dirt, water or other foreign matter.
        • Be sure to securely connect the cooling fan motor connector.
      2. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness to the fan with motor assembly.
      3. Connect the cooling fan motor connector.
      4. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness to the fan with motor assembly.
  5. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

      *e Right Side of Vehicle *f 2 to 5 mm (0.0787 to 0.197 in.)
      1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 2 radiator hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
      2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  6. CONNECT OUTLET NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING HOSE (for 1Motor-HEV Model)

      1. Connect the outlet No. 2 inverter cooling hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the outlet No. 2 inverter cooling hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  7. CONNECT NO. 1 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE ASSEMBLY (for Gasoline Model)

      1. Connect the No. 1 intercooler cooling water hose assembly to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 1 intercooler cooling water hose assembly until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  8. CONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE (for 1Motor-HEV Model)

      1. Connect theNo. 1 inverter cooling hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 1 inverter cooling hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  9. CONNECT NO. 1 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE (for Gasoline Model)

      1. Connect the No. 1 intercooler cooling water hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 1 intercooler cooling water hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  10. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE (for 1Motor-HEV Model)

      1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 1 radiator hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
      2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  11. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Gasoline Model)

      1. Connect the radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the radiator hose sub-assembly until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  12. CONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
  13. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      1. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 5 water by-pass hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  14. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Torque: 12.5 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 
  16. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 
  17. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2023 - 12/2023] , or refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]

  18. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  19. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  20. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL JUNCTION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  21. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
  22. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  23. INSTALL HOOD SPRING ASSEMBLY 
  24. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
  25. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    For Sport Package: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

    Except Sport Package: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2023 - 12/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2023 - ]

  26. INSTALL LOWER ARM BRACKET BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  27. INSTALL LOWER ARM BRACKET BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  28. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
  29. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    For Sport Package: Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2023 - ]

  30. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  31. ADD COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    For Gasoline Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

    For 1Motor-HEV Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  32. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  33. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Intercooler) 

    For 1Motor-HEV Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    For Gasoline Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  34. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  35. INSTALL SUSPENSION TOWER DAMPER (w/ Suspension Tower Damper)

  36. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
