Removal [09/2023 - 12/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [09/2023 - ]
  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (for HEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER (for HEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    For T24A-FTS Gasoline Model:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    For T24A-FTS 1Motor-HEV Model:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
  7. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK CONTROL BELLCRANK SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP CLIP 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24
  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD

      Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2)
      Remove in this Direction (3) - -
      1. Disengage the snap as shown in the illustration to disconnect the front door lock open rod.
      2. Remove the front door lock open rod in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration.
  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36
  15. REMOVE HOLE PLUG (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38
  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY WITH CABLE

      *1 Front Door Lock Open Rod - -
      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.
      2. Slide the front door lock with motor assembly with cable downward to disconnect the front door lock open rod and remove the front door lock with motor assembly with cable.
  18. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL 

    HINT: 

    When reusing the front door lock with motor assembly.

  19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.
      2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front door lock cover sub-assembly.
