CHANGE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM SETTINGS

Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

STEERING WHEEL POSITION

Lower

Extend

Release the tilt and telescopic switch or lever and fully extend and lower the steering column sub-assembly.

REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

NOTE:

Removing the lower steering column cover in the incorrect order will cause the parts to break.

Turn the steering wheel assembly to the left and remove the screw.
Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right and remove the screw.
Remove the screw.
Disengage the 2 claws and 4 clips of the upper steering column cover and separate the instrument cluster finish panel assembly.
Disengage the 2 claws on the inside of the steering column cover and remove the lower steering column cover.
NOTE:
Do not damage the tilt and telescopic manual switch.

REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER

Remove in this Direction

REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

Remove in this Direction

Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right.
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the windshield wiper switch assembly as shown in the illustration.
NOTE:
If the claw is pulled with excessive force, it may break.
