  1. CHECK SYMPTOMS 
    1. Operate the turn signal switch and check the problem symptoms.

  2. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Remove the headlight assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Interchange the headlight assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front/side turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.

  4. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Interchange the outer rear view mirror assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front/side turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.
      NOTE:

      If the front/side turn signal light (LH side) operates normally, return the outer rear view mirror assembly LH and outer rear view mirror assembly RH that were interchanged in a previous step back to their original conditions so that a component of the outer rear view mirror assembly LH can be inspected in the next step.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT/ SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (LH SIDE) - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)

    • Disconnect the B42 headlight assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the F7 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the D17 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      B42-11 (TNS), F7-11 (TRNI), D4-4 (HFL) or D17-5 (LL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher kΩ

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT/ SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (LH SIDE) - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)

    • Disconnect the B52 headlight assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the F7 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the D17 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      B52-5 (B), F7-11 (TRNI), D4-4 (HFL) or D17-5 (LL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher kΩ

    • Remove the side turn signal light assembly LH from the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Remove the side turn signal light assembly RH from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Interchange the side turn signal light assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front/side turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.

    • Interchange the headlight assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front/side turn signal light (RH side) operates normally.

    • Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

    • Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Interchange the outer rear view mirror assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front/side turn signal light (RH side) operates normally.
      NOTE:

      If the front/side turn signal light (RH side) operates normally, return the outer rear view mirror assembly RH and outer rear view mirror assembly LH that were interchanged in a previous step back to their original conditions so that a component of the outer rear view mirror assembly RH can be inspected in the next step.
