DTC B1507-18: Turn Signal Light Circuit Current Below Threshold [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK SYMPTOMS 
    1. Operate the turn signal switch and check the problem symptoms.

  3. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Remove the headlight assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Interchange the headlight assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.

      Result

      Problem symptoms do not change
      (Front turn signal light (LH side) does not blink)      		 A
      Front turn signal light (LH side) operates normally B

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the B42 headlight assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the D17 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      B42-11 (TNS) - D17-5 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      B42-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Ω

      OK

    Post-procedure1

    • None

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

  5. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Remove the headlight assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    • Interchange the headlight assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the B52 headlight assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the D17 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      B52-5 (B) - D17-5 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      B52-6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Ω

  8. CHECK LH SIDE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Interchange the rear combination light assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Operate the turn signal switch and check that the LH side rear turn signal light operates normally.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side rear turn signal light operates normally, the rear combination light assembly LH is malfunctioning.

    • Disconnect the D17 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    • Disconnect the B43 headlight assembly RH connector.
    • Disconnect the D17 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      B43-11 (TNS) - D17-6 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      B43-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Ω

      HINT:

    • Interchange the headlight assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

    • Interchange the rear combination light assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      If the RH side rear turn signal light operates normally, the rear combination light assembly RH is malfunctioning.
