DTC B00D5-12: Restraint System Passenger Disable Indicator Circuit Short to Battery [10/2022 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS
Pre-procedure1
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly and map light assembly.
OK
The connectors are properly connected.

- CHECK CONNECTORS
Pre-procedure1
- Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
*1 Map Light Assembly *2 Airbag ECU Assembly *3 Wire Harness - Disconnect the map light assembly connector.
- Check that the terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.
OK
The terminals are not deformed or damaged.

- Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B IN THE CIRCUIT)

- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Pre-procedure1
- Connect the map light assembly connector.

(to Airbag ECU Assembly) - Using a service wire, connect terminal 34 (P-AB) of connector B and body ground.NOTE:
Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Check the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator operation.
OK
The passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator "OFF" come on.

Post-procedure1
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Disconnect the service wire from connector B.
