Monitor Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2025 Lexus RX 350, 2024 Lexus RX 350, and 2023 Lexus RX 350. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

P011A-62:

After the engine has stopped for 5 hours or more, the ECM monitors the voltage of the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) and engine coolant temperature sensor (for cylinder head side). If the difference between the readings of the engine coolant temperature (for outlet side) and engine coolant temperature sensor (for cylinder head side) is higher than 20°C (36°F), the ECM determines that there is a malfunction in the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) circuit or engine coolant temperature sensor (for cylinder head side) circuit, and stores a DTC and illuminates the MIL.

P111A-62:

After the engine has stopped for 5 hours or more, the ECM monitors the voltage of the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) and engine coolant temperature sensor (for water inlet housing side). If the difference between the readings of the engine coolant temperature (for outlet side) and engine coolant temperature sensor (for water inlet housing side) is higher than 20°C (36°F), the ECM determines that there is a malfunction in the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) circuit or engine coolant temperature sensor (for water inlet housing side) circuit, and stores a DTC and illuminates the MIL.
