DTC B2296-19: Sub Battery System Output Power "C" Circuit Current Above Threshold [08/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Sub Battery System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      B2296-19 is output A
      B2296-19 is not output B

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2022 - ]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATED CAPACITOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL SUPPLY) - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    • Disconnect the H191 integrated capacitor (integration control supply) connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      H191-10 (BUE2) - Body ground Ignition switch off 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Post-procedure1

    • None

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE INTEGRATED CAPACITOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL SUPPLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATED CAPACITOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL SUPPLY) - POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX ASSEMBLY) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the C90 power distribution box assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      H191-10 (BUE2) - Body ground Ignition switch off 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Post-procedure1

    • None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Remove the power distribution box assembly.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2023 - ]

    • Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      C90-27 - z31-25 (SBAT) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      C90-27 or z31-25 (SBAT) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
