Operation not Accepted Even If Air Conditioning Switch is Operated [08/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK MALFUNCTION STATUS

    Front air conditioning control switch (radio and display receiver assembly) cannot be operated A
    Rear air conditioning control switch (rear seat heater switch) cannot be operated B

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes

      Result Proceed to
      U0163-87 is not output A
      U0163-87 is output B

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2023 - ]

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - AUXILIARY BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the C47 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

      (to Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly)
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C47-5 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V
      C47-6 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the C47 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C47-17 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes

      B14B3-87 is not output A
      B14B3-87 is output B
