New Key Registration Warning Message is not Displayed [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Smart Access > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2022 - ]

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (FL DOOR COURTESY SWITCH STATUS) 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      FL Door Courtesy Switch Status Front door LH courtesy light switch signal OFF or ON OFF: Front door LH closed
      ON: Front door LH open

    GO TO E-LATCH SYSTEM (Door Courtesy Switch Circuit). Refer to  Door Courtesy Switch Circuit [10/2022 - ]

  3. CHECK METER / GAUGE SYSTEM 
    1. With the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly in the vehicle and all of the doors closed, lock the doors using the entry lock function and check that the warning message is displayed on the multi-information display.
      NOTE:

      In order to prevent the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly from being locked inside the vehicle, perform this inspection with the window of a door open.

      HINT: 

      Key lock-in prevention function (vehicle interior).

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [10/2022 - ]

    Result: 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2024]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2024 - ]

  4. ADDITIONAL KEY REGISTRATION 
    1. Clear all of the registered electrical key transmitter sub-assemblies except one and perform registration again.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [10/2022 - ]

  5. CHECK MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY 
    1. With all of the doors closed, lock the doors using the entry lock function.
    2. Unlock the doors using the entry unlock function, open the driver door and check that the warning message is displayed on the multi-information display.

    Result: 

    END (10 DAYS MAY HAVE ELAPSED SINCE AN ELECTRICAL KEY TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSEMBLY WAS REGISTERED)

    REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 08/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2023 - ]
