DTC P1AC4-13: Hybrid/EV Battery Stack 1 Current Interrupt Device Circuit Open [08/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV BATTERY) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. None.

      Procedure1

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > HV Battery > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P1AC4-13 only is output, or DTCs except the ones in the table below are also output. A
      DTCs of hybrid battery system in the tables below are output. B

      HINT: 

      • P1AC4-13 may be output as a result of the malfunction indicated by the DTCs above.
        1. The chart above is listed in inspection order of priority.
        2. Check DTCs that are output at the same time by following the listed order. (The main cause of the malfunction can be determined without performing unnecessary inspections.)

      Post-procedure1

    3. Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID BATTERY SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2023 - ]

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL, MOTOR GENERATOR, HV BATTERY AND PLUG-IN CONTROL)

    3. Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2023 - 10/2024]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2024 - ] 

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (MOTOR GENERATOR CONTROL SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID BATTERY SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (PLUG-IN CHARGE CONTROL SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2023 - ]

  3. REPLACE BATTERY ECU ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2023 - ]

  4. SIMULATION TEST 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      NOTE:

      Do not turn the ignition switch to ON (READY) before completing repairs as this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Clear DTCs 

    3. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 30 seconds or more.

      Procedure1

    5. Check if DTCs are output.

      Powertrain > HV Battery > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      No DTCs are output. A
      DTCs of hybrid battery system are output. B

    6. Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result:
