Operation Method [10/2022 - 08/2023]: Procedure

  1. SECURE VEHICLE 
    1. Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.
      WARNING:
      • Make sure to apply the parking brake and chock a wheel before performing this procedure.
      • If the vehicle is not secure and the shift lever is moved to N, the vehicle may suddenly move, possibly resulting in an accident or serious injury.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE SHIFT CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 

    See step  6

  8. MANUAL PARKING LOCK RELEASE 
    1. Using a pair of pliers, grip the parking lock shaft that has been wrapped with a cloth or other material and rotate it approximately 20° in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the parking lock.

      *a 2-flats Portion of Parking Lock Shaft
      *b Spline Portion of Parking Lock Shaft
      *c Rotate Approximately 20°
      NOTE:
      • Do not grip the 2-flats portion (*a) of the parking lock shaft.
      • Make sure to use a cloth or other material to prevent damage to the spline portion (*b) of the parking lock shaft.
  9. MANUAL PARKING LOCK 
    1. Using a pair of pliers, grip the parking lock shaft that has been wrapped with a cloth or other material and rotate it approximately 20° in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to apply the parking lock.

      *c Rotate Approximately 20°
      NOTE:
