- SECURE VEHICLE
- Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- for HEV Model:
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2022 - 10/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2024 - ]

- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- REMOVE SHIFT CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

- MANUAL PARKING LOCK RELEASE
- Using a pair of pliers, grip the parking lock shaft that has been wrapped with a cloth or other material and rotate it approximately 20° in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the parking lock.
*a 2-flats Portion of Parking Lock Shaft *b Spline Portion of Parking Lock Shaft *c Rotate Approximately 20° NOTE:- Do not grip the 2-flats portion (*a) of the parking lock shaft.
- Make sure to use a cloth or other material to prevent damage to the spline portion (*b) of the parking lock shaft.
- Using a pair of pliers, grip the parking lock shaft that has been wrapped with a cloth or other material and rotate it approximately 20° in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the parking lock.
- MANUAL PARKING LOCK
- Using a pair of pliers, grip the parking lock shaft that has been wrapped with a cloth or other material and rotate it approximately 20° in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to apply the parking lock.
