Disassembly [10/2022 - 08/2023]: Procedure

- REMOVE VALVE SPRING RETAINER LOCK
- REMOVE VALVE SPRING RETAINER
- REMOVE INTAKE VALVE COMPRESSION SPRING
- REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE COMPRESSION SPRING
- Perform the same procedure as for the intake valve compression spring.
- REMOVE INTAKE VALVE
- REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE
- Perform the same procedure as for the intake valve.
- REMOVE INTAKE VALVE STEM OIL SEAL
- REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE STEM OIL SEAL
- Perform the same procedure as for the intake valve stem oil seal.
- REMOVE INTAKE VALVE SPRING SEAT
- REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE SPRING SEAT
- Perform the same procedure as for the intake valve spring seat.
- REMOVE NO. 1 STRAIGHT SCREW PLUG NOTE:
If coolant leaks from a No. 1 straight screw plug or a plug is corroded, replace it.
- REMOVE STUD BOLT NOTE:
If a stud bolt is deformed or its threads are damaged, replace it.
- REMOVE INTAKE VALVE GUIDE BUSH
- REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE GUIDE BUSH
- Perform the same procedure as for the intake valve guide bush.
- REMOVE RING PIN NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the ring pins unless they are being replaced.
