Installation [10/2022 - 08/2023]: Procedure

  1. SET EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

      1. Set the EGR valve assembly to the camshaft housing.

        HINT: 

        At this time, do not install the parts with the bolts.

  2. CONNECT NO. 8 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
  3. CONNECT NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
  4. INSTALL NO. 1 EGR COOLER GASKET 
    See step  3
  5. INSTALL EGR VALVE GASKET 
    See step  4
  6. INSTALL EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY 
    See step  5
  7. CONNECT NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
  8. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
  9. INSTALL EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

      1. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, install the EGR valve assembly to the camshaft housing with the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  10. INSTALL EGR INLET GASKET 
  11. INSTALL EGR VALVE ADAPTER GASKET 
  12. INSTALL NO. 1 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, install the No. 1 EGR pipe sub-assembly to the intake manifold and EGR valve assembly with the 4 bolts.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  13. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE 

    Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  14. CONNECT NO. 2 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE 
  15. CONNECT NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE 
  16. INSTALL INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - ]

  17. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  18. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  19. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK 

    If gas is leaking, tighten the areas necessary to stop the leak. Replace damaged parts as necessary.

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after repairing or replacing the exhaust system.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  20. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a EGR valve assembly.
